Give to Gain: Black Women in Journalism - March 2026

In March, CBAN hosted Give to Gain: Black Women in Journalism, an online conversation exploring the experiences, opportunities and challenges facing Black women working across journalism and the media.

The event brought together Black women working within the industry to share candid reflections on their careers, navigating newsrooms and building meaningful professional networks. The discussion also explored the importance of representation within journalism and how those established within the industry can help create opportunities for those coming behind them.

The event formed part of CBAN’s wider commitment to creating spaces for members to exchange knowledge, learn from one another and strengthen connections across industries and generations.
